anne alexander
Anne has been a serial entrepreneur since the age of eight, when she bought candy at the local grocery store and resold it at a profit to her mother and sister. Also a non-stop learner, Anne graduated with a B.A. in Social Change and Development, before launching into a career path including construction and housing development, beverages, crafted tile, and custom engineered parts. And as a Certified Business Intermediary, Anne worked with small business owners to value and sell their companies.
Her non-traditional "MBA" - master of being alive - was acquired in the business trenches with colleagues and employees. She is passionate that every business can make a significant positive impact on all stakeholders, including employees, customers, the community, the environment and vendors. She lives and breathes the belief that profitability and social and environmental sustainability can be mutually reinforcing.
Anne is excited about the transformation that happens in companies as people develop their trust in and respect for each other and learn to improve their communication. She embraces the creativity inherent in all successful business. Anne's clients have called her style "positive, nurturing and dead-on" as well as "both very practical and deep." Authentic, caring and real world, Anne helps clients leverage their skills, passion and potential into developing great companies.
Anne helps our clients through her own company Authentic Alternatives, Inc, where she coaches and consults owners of small businesses with fewer than 10 people around business marketing and overall success.
Anne enjoys architecture and design, reading literary fiction and legal thrillers and wandering on mountain paths. She lives with her partner, two dogs and two cats in North Carolina.
