Women Connect: Creating a Culture of Feedback that Works

  • Online Fort Collins, CO, 80524 United States (map)

Most of us brace ourselves for criticism when we hear, “Hey, can I give you some feedback?”

Yet how can we improve in how we are working together if we don’t know how we are impacting others on our team? What if you could have a project team where people regularly reflected on how they are working together, and supported each other in small shifts that made your team dynamics more effective?

In this session, Diana will share a simple structure that can help you and your team move from being “nice” or “critical”, to creating a supportive dialogue resulting in a healthier team environment. You will have the chance to practice giving effective feedback that is both easy to give and receive, and develop some personal examples to take back to your team.

Key Takeaways

  1. Understand the power of sharing Evidence, Inference, and Impact -- and why it’s important

  2. Learn a clear, effective framework for giving and receiving feedback that works — walk through the process with your own current situation.

  3. Get insight into the dynamics of teams — prepare to overcome your team’s tendency to conform and instead create a team that benefits from generative feedback.

This no-cost event is online through the Mile Hi Project Management Institute - Women Connect group.
